Silent Auction Rules

Rules
  • 1. Bidding Eligibility All guests aged 18+ may participate in the silent auction.
    By placing a bid, you agree to the terms listed below:
  • 2. Bidding Process
    Each item will have a bid sheet or digital bidding option.
    To place a bid, write your full name and bid amount clearly.
    Bids must increase by at least the minimum raise listed on the sheet.
    Illegible or incomplete bids may be removed at staff discretion.
  • 3. Closing of the Auction
    The silent auction will close at the time announced during the event.
    No bids may be added or altered after the official closing.
    AEGIS staff will determine the final winning bids; all decisions are final.
  • 4. Winning Bids
    The highest valid bid at closing is the winner.
    Winners will be announced or contacted by staff after tallying results.
    Items must be paid for before leaving the event, unless otherwise arranged.
  • 5. Payment
    Accepted payment methods include: Credit/debit card
    Cash
    Digital payment (PayPal, etc.)
    Payment must be completed the same evening unless special arrangements are approved by the event coordinator.
  • 6. Item Pickup
    Items may be collected once payment is confirmed.
    Some items (such as certificates or experiences) may be delivered digitally.
    Large or fragile items must be handled with care; AEGIS is not responsible for damage after pickup.
  • 7. Restrictions & Expirations
    Some items may include blackout dates, usage restrictions, or expiration dates.
    It is the bidder’s responsibility to review item descriptions before bidding.
    All sales are final; no refunds or exchanges.
  • 8. Liability
    AEGIS Charity is not responsible for:
    Lost or misplaced items after pickup
    Scheduling conflicts for experience‑based prizes
    Vendor availability or changes outside our control
  • 9. Fair Bidding Policy
    Bidders must act with honesty and respect.
    Tampering with bid sheets, removing bids, or interfering with other bidders is strictly prohibited.
    Any misconduct may result in removal from the auction.
  • 10. Support for the Mission
    All proceeds from the silent auction directly support AEGIS Charity’s community programs, immersive events, and creative initiatives. Your participation helps us bring meaningful cultural experiences to life!
